Our Remuneration Policy

The TBYW Board:
As stated in Article 5.5 of the Statutes, the Board members do not receive remuneration for their work.  The definition of remuneration, however, does not include reasonable reimbursement of expenses incurred for the benefit of the Foundation nor does it include non-excessive attendance-fee. All fees paid to Board members are recorded as such and elucidated in the financial statements.

 

Coordination Volunteers:
The Foundation’s hierarchy is fluid and members are valued according to their time investment. Only volunteers committing 5-10 hours a week to an agreed upon coordination position may qualify for monetary compensation. In which case the coordinator is entitled to a compensation of his/her part-time voluntary work of a maximum of € 1800,- per year.

1. The coordinator must decide upon signing the coordination agreement whether to receive:

  1. A compensation of € 180 per month with a maximum amount of €1800 per year; or,

  2. A compensation of € 150 per month for a period of 12 months ​​

2. If a training period is needed prior to the official start of the voluntary work, the coordinator is entitled to a compensation of € 90 per month .

Volunteers:

Neither interns or volunteers receive remuneration for their work. However, any expenses they make for the benefit of the Foundation are reimbursed, provided that it was agreed upon in advance, and the appropriate documentation for accounting purposes was presented, validated, and accepted.
